Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult over 18. A max of 6 tickets per person and per household applies. Tickets in excess of 6 will be cancelled. The Rock Retreat Camping Package is situated in the grounds of Melbourne Hall, Church Square Derby To ensure an enjoyable and comfortable experience, campers will have access to a maximum pitch size of 22m2 per person (metres squared). Camping opens from 12pm midday on Wednesday 10th June until 11am on Monday 15th June 2026. The Rock Retreat is a quiet campsite, so please keep noise to a minimum after 1am. The last Shuttle Bus service from the festival back to The Rock Retreat will be half an hour after the main arena closes. Every person in your party must have a valid ticket to stay in The Rock Retreat campsite, including children. Accompanied Under 5s are allowed for free. Due to the overwhelming demand for space, gazebos will only be permitted for parties of 4 or more sharing a tent.
This package only gives access to The Rock Retreat Campsite, it gives no access to the Guest Area or RIP Campsites. - Campervans are welcome if everyone staying in them has their own Rock Retreat at Melbourne Hall ticket. - Strictly NO GAS canisters or petrol fuelled cookers will be allowed anywhere on site. Please see the Download website for a list of alternatives and to check on other prohibited items/substances before you pack. - Please raise BBQ's & camping stoves at least 30cms off the ground to avoid burning the site. Bricks are available for you to use, please ask at The Rock Retreat Reception. Download Festival: On-site parking is available plus we have disabled customer parking area is located at the front of the West car park and available on a first come first served basis. Parking is free of charge for blue badge holders. Access to the arena from the car park and campsite entrance is via a tarmac road. From the front of the West Car Park it is approximately 0.5 miles to the arena entrance (this does depend on where you park within the car park). If you are camping in the disabled customer campsite, cars can be parked next to tents if required, though we are unable to offer this to everyone due to restrictions on space. All cars can be parked in the disabled customer car park.
Download Festival: All disabled customers are welcome at Download, but as it is a greenfield site there are steep stony hilly sections of the site, meaning that sometimes access across the site is not that easy. Stewards however, will be around to assist. Download Festival: Under 5s (ages 0-4 years) are allowed for free - no child ticket required, but must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. 5-12 years olds must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult and each child will require a Child Ticket. 13-15 must purchase an ADULT ticket and be accompanied by a parent / guardian over 18.
