Duke Ellington premiered each of his three Sacred Concerts during the last decade of his life (1965-1974). His exuberance, meditative introspection and devotion shine through these marvelous works, which are one of the most beloved, personal and highly valued expressions of his life and career. Presented in collaboration with the Louis Armstrong House Museum, featuring an all-star ensemble of LAHM-affiliated musicians and students from the Aaron Copland School of Music's jazz program, led by Bruce Harris (Artistic Director of Programs, LAHM & Archives). With Guest Artists Marshall Davis, Jr., Tap Dancer and Randall Keith Horton, Narrator.
